Was it built in May of '03?

If so, how is the suspension, as they changed the shocks slightly from earlier Minis.

Thanks and congrats on the car!

Thanx for the replies. Have been out having fun and, oh boy, real fun. The car feels much better than the 02 demo that I test drove. It's a May build and has the revised rear end which seems to compare favorably to the original type. Also have the alloy pedals and the new mfsw which really looks the bizz. More than happy...........sorry, gotta go drivin' again :-) (x infinity)

Viel spass beim fahren!

....."has the revised rear end which seems to compare favorably to the original type."

Where has the revised rear been discussed?. Anyone got a link to the thread or a key word for a search?

Congratulations! Nice color!! I originally ordered mine in DS/W but then I changed my mind and I ordered CR/W.

...pls, let us know how the "post-May" Minis handle curves + bumps + potholes with the new shocks!!

Mine will be built this week!!

Managed to take time off driving for you all !!

@mhoutman By 'revised rear end' I meant, of course, the different shocks. Don't worry, they haven't changed the fantastic looks. They seem to have a positive effect on the ride as mine isn't nearly as harsh on bumpy bits as the one I test drove in February. The new mfsw is the three- spoke one which is grippier and more comfy than the older one which, by the way I preferred the look of.

@granshute Pictures will follow, but in that respect I'm still in the middle ages and don't have a Digi-cam. Will scan some in and post them as soon as they're developed. It's only a box-standard DS/B 'S' to you lot anyway, for me it's the best one on the road, of course. :-)

Red Cooper OK...

OK Minimarkcs

Got the message... no digital camara, but a nice Mini... that is the way to choose. Hope that you are able to scan some old style regular photos. But get into digital cameras when you can. They are great and specially to picture your Mini though time. Good luck and will be waiting for those nice MCS pictures.
