Getting Chrome pack but don't want Chrome Mirrors

Howdy,

I am getting the chrome pack on my S but after getting the dealer to ask around, there is no way I can get it WITHOUT the chrome mirrors. I think it is crazy as they are seperate items on the options list but what are ya gonna do...

So, I was wondering if anyone out there has white mirrors and would like to swap them for chrome ones? We could swap them basically as soon as I got the car, I would even drive a distance as I need to have her run-in before I drive over to the Hockenheim Grand Prix!

The only thing I would ask is that your car is quite new or that your white mirrors are in perfect condition.

For those who order a white roof you should still have the option of the white mirrors if you want them.

I'm sure someone on here will swap but it might be worth asking your dealer to do a change for you FOC. It won't come them much after all and they could take a new set of chrome ones into stock.

I've got a black set I'd be willing to swap from a brand new car but I don't suppose that helps does it?

Can you not just buy a set of white mirros and sell the chrome ones? Whats the cost of white mirror caps?

If the dealer won't come to the party, thats what I will do. However it seams a bit funny that I have to pay for something I don't want and then it will cost me even more money to get back to what was originally specified on the car!

Does anyone know how much the white mirror caps are? Also, how much are the chrome ones as obviously I will have to sell them under the price of new ones from the dealer.

jebjeb... i may be willing to do you a swap, i pick up my MCS with white mirrors next week, but one thing I havent seen the chrome jobs yet so i would need to find a pic of an EB/W MCS with chrome mirrors.... I know i'm not that close but we could arrange a post deal.

You might be able to get a set of white caps of an insurance write off. Then Sell the chrome ones. Or get the chrome ones painted.

Andy - Sounds great if you want! Firstly, where abouts is Middlesbourgh? I'm an Aussie and even though I have been here for nearly 5 years, some of my geography is not too great!

If you are still keen after seeing the chrome jobbies in some pics, maybe we could organise to meet part of the way in the middle.

Jebjeb... Middlesbrough is in the northeast of England, not far from Newcastle, still havent seen a pciture of EB/W with chrome mirrors (can anyone help ?)...

I got the chrome pack wihtout the chrome mirrors. I think your dealers having u on mate! Although on the mini.co.uk website u cant specify the option on the configurator without it putting the mirrors on. Either way, dont let your dealer get a way with charging u an extra £40

Fullupo - Is that right?! They are trying to charge me £60 for the lot. How much did you pay for just the Chrome Grill and rear handle? How did the dealer manage to do it?

If its £60 for the lot then you are getting the mirrors for free anyways. It is £60 for the chrome pack, and £40 for the mirrors, and ehn i ordered i just said i didnt want the chrome mirrors and that was it. Although you got the mirrors for free, if your the same as me and dont like them then just tell him that you wont take the car with them on
