Help, S Engine Problem?

Is anyone having the same problem as me.

After the driving to my parent's home yesterday I switched off the engine, but it sounded like it didn't switch off completely. The Engine gave out a large wirling sound for about 5 minutes.

Is this a problem? Am I the only one having this unique feature? Can't find anything about it in the manual.

Maybe the engine is getting too hot?

i think that would be the cooling fan. They often stay on after the engine is turned off until the thermostat says the temperature is below the required level.
