How do you know when your mini was built?

Hi all

I just got my MCS last week.

I am trying to find out when the car was built in the factory.

I have read the FAQ and I know about the build date "sticker".

But that just gives me a serial no.

How do I find the build date?

There is a sticker on it somewhere that gives the actual build date - if the one you saw only has a serial number, then you saw the wrong one. Sorry, can't remember wher it is, will have a look lunch time.

There is another sticker under the bonnet
It's on the drivers side wing, just near the side indicator.
It only specifies the month and year though

So I took a photo of the sticker.

Can anyone determine the build date of my mini so?

Also which tread on this site tells me the faults with this build?

The date sticker should be stuck immeadiatly to the right of the sticker that you have photographed. It simply says:

*Built Nov 02

If you haven't already seen it, then I'm afraid it means that yours is simply not there, as it cannot be missed. It is about half the width of the sticker that you have photographed, and is withing 1cm of it, so sorry, I think that this means that yours is missing.

Mine was built in Nov 02, with delivery in Dec 16th 02, so that should giv eyou an idea of how long between build date and delivery within the UK. I can't see any car being delivered over 10 weeks after build, but I am happy to be corrected on this.

Yep, its offical my mini does not have a build date sticker


:-(

I am a bit annoyed because the car seems to be pulling tot he left and was wondering of it is due to the design fault discussed on this site or something else.

can't find that sticker as well...
it's whether under the bonnet nor on the side of the door...
