are they nuts

The guy that owns my nearest MINI lot also owns several other lots. At one of the lots I see this indi blue black top with sunroof Cooper sitting out front. I stopped to check it out. There was no price sticker on it and since the lot was closed I figured I'd inquire about it the next day.
When inquired this is what I found out:
Price: $22,995
Mileage: 8,653 miles
•Driver Side Air Bag
•Passenger Side Air Bag
•Air Conditioning
•AM/FM Radio
•Alloy Wheels
•Automatic Transmission
•Bucket Seats
•Center Arm Rest/Console
•Compact Disc Player
•Cruise Control
•Intermittent Wipers
•Leather Interior
•Map Light
•Power Brakes
•Power Door Locks
•Power Windows
•Rear Window Defrost
•Rear Window Wiper/Washer
•Sunroof
•Tilt Steering Wheel

Am I nuts or is that price high? I made a Cooper on the MINI site with the same specs and it come out around $21,000.00 or so. I figured 8,653 miles the thing is used why would anybody buy a used one no matter how many miles on it when you could buy a brand new one for just as much.

Oooh it's got a rear window defrost and a rear window wiper... That makes it worth $23K..! NOT!..
Dealers really still put stuff like that on the sticker..??? It's not like those things are even options.
You'd be mad to pay that much for a used auto Cooper. Spec your own (and get the manual 'box!) and either put up with the wait time if you live in an area that has long waits, or shop around and make a road trip out of taking delivery - there are plenty of dealers with stock or low wait times.

Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.

You're nuts if you buy it. Some of what you've listed are standard features. Makes you wonder what's wrong with it that someone drove it over 8000 miles and now wants to sell it.

Probably an experienced dealer who knows if you are
rich and impatient then the price is fine.

Hey. there's nothing wrong with wanting? If someone is willing to pay those high prices, whose the one that's nuts? Unless you're unwilling to shop around, the best way to get a good deal is to walk when the price isn't right.
