Had a rough estimate for the underfloor heating this morning.....

Using 16m2 of matting, the quote came in at:

£500 supply matting only - I'd get my borther-in-law to fit and wire it all in, as he's an electrician.

£852 supply and fit, including fitting 'stat.

Hmmm.....that seems like a lot of dosh tbh.

Esp when I can get two oil filled, electric radiators for about 20% of that......

Well had the 48k service on the PB today, no major surprises and they were very impessed withthe condition of the car... 400 for the service, they replaced a cracking ignition coil to be on the safe side for 26... and got a pair of new Pzeros on the front...

very impressed with their customer service, even wouldnt take ayment today, said they would post the invoice for me to sort out later.... never thought i'd spend 750 on a service and feel almost happy about it..... ..

They have a 04 plate boxster in there, painted salmon pink ... pink calipers... pink leather retrim... wheres MartinL ?...

Just been talking to my neighbour about his search for a cherished MCS in Electric Blue, he noticed I had the brakes done, but while discussing it I realised thats it, there are no more mods for me

JCG have said there is no suspension for the MCSC, so thats that

I guess I just enjoy her now until it comes to buy another

But she did make me smile on the drive home last night, roof down, in the dark, in the rain

I agree with Rakey - you waited for the announcement to place the order and £3500 for kit and brakes is an excellent deal.

I hate to think of you spending you holiday in Oz regretting the decision

If you want it delivered faster speak to other dealers and JC Garages

I'm not sure I would get a factory JCW quickly from any dealer at the moment.

Washy... getting the mini early is great... but you want to make sure you don't regret not getting the factory JCW... you specced this car for a long time and put a lot of effort into making sure it's just right... I'd hate to see you making a split decision now on the basis of a 1-2 month delay and not getting the car you've craved... The JCW kit is really the icing on top which makes the MCS special IMO... unless the dealer is going to do a deal and fit the kit and brakes for very similar money, I'd hold off... either that or you could get my dealer to fit the kit
