I know what you mean. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with the Bose system in the PB TBH.....

I've sampled a lot of the different settings, and TBH the "MINI H/K" setting seems the best for the type of muzac I listen to.

The only time I deviate is for Simple Minds.....they always sound better on "Festival"....ahh those "stadium" bands.

I typically have the bass & treble set two or three clicks from maximum.

I've tried the "Driver" setting, but cannot get used to the imbalance left to right.....it seems so more natural with everything equalised to the centre.

I've not had any problems with the front door casings resonating, although one of the rear quarter panels did until I traced the problem to the seatbelt buckle. The bass was exciting the bukcle against the casing!

Roof down the volume you can extend it too is quite surprising.....certainly gives the Chavs with their boom-boxes a run for their money!

Talking

Good evening all. Been super busy at work (in fact, I'm supposed to be working on payroll right now. ) The annual charity golf tournamnent is Friday, at Torrey Pines. Life will return to normal in about 2 weeks.

Folks have been visiting since Thursday, they head home tomorrow. Ran the Brecht rally (with me auld Da) on Sunday. Had a great time & a good result with the raffle, too.

Plus my birthday present has been ordered: a Racing Dynamics strut tower brace.

All in all, a great weekend.

I won the rims & tires, not the car.

I like the HK a lot. I find it very flexible/adaptable to different kinds of music. Good for what I listen to: BBC World Service, classis rock, 70's to 90's dance music, U2, REM, Simon & Garfunkel, a little bit of Kanye West & (of course) the P-u-s-s-y Cat Dolls.

I think wait Neil - take J5 first as you said, and have fun with it first, then have the MCSC to look forward to for the New Year and Spring weather?
