Errr, I dunno.............. My depreciation hit should be less proportionally by January 08, so thats sensible. But I've never held a car for almost 4 years before? That would be new for us - and I don't know if I'll crumble before then , and maybe order a non-Works S?

I am concerned about potential resale value on the GP - I think it may depreciate drastically, due to the lack of rear seats.

On the other hand, its available here at € 42.75k - thats about € 8k less than I've spent on my ciurrent car. So as Mo says, it is a 'relative' bargain.

Kitting it out with a CF interior for another few grand, it might be a pretty special car potentially.

I just don't know......

ohhh.. tough one Aiden ...I still think it's too much a marketing exercise than an engineered special edition to make it worth something in the long term... silly things like the fake airducts on the front bumper really annoy me ..not fussed on the bright silver dash either ...keep what you have for anotehr few years and then get a new JCW would be my best advice.. but then I've still got my name down for a GP

it would be a bargain and great car, if you didn't already have a great car that you have invested a lot of money into

what does a puddler need with an extra 8bhp

my thinking is that the GP will be a great car as a keeper but a nightmare in terms of resale value. special editions like this never do well on value as the dealers don't have a guide to value it & its going to have limited appeal as a private sale.

I think you just need to remind yourself of what a great MINI you already have Aiden, and that by taking a hit on trading yours in and buying another which is only slightly different.

Go for a drive, turn off DSC, its great fun, its what I am doing at the moment, as I want to wear out these tyres before MtM

I don't fancy a 50% hit after less than 2 years which is where I stand at the mo - it probably does make sense to stick with my current car, and honestly, I am quite happy with it.....

Doing MtM on slicks might be a tad risky , but undoubtably would have a 'fun' element

it would be risky on the tyres I have now, amazing how these runflats can still have lots of legal grip on them but not actually seem to bite the road

I'm look forward to getting these scrubbed as fast as possible so I can get some Eagle F1's

Aiden and I proved that point!! Same corner, no camber, no oil spills, same speed...

He went very very sideways and had a brown pants moment... I sailed round no problem at all on my Eagle F1s
