Didn't have it in the end......spoke with the consultant on the morning of the op, and we decided that it wasn't the best route forward.....
Aparently the plates have to be removed later, so that means twice the risk, in terms of anaesthetic, plus the problems of scar tissue, severence of nerves & tendons.
So I've been in a full cast for the past 11 days......only 10 more days left.....
If it doesn't feel right after physio, then the op is the next step, but further in the future......
Only thing is I'm only entitled to 4 weeks sick pay at full salary......then it's down to SSP, which won't even cover the mortgage.....
Busy getting an Income Protection policy.....bargain at 100 quid per month....
Bones aching today........and typing with one finger is hard work.....
Aiden what braided hoses have you got for teh JCW brakes? Are you changing the fluid as well? Think that a set of tehse brakes is in the offing for me as well. Would be interested to know what you've done. Cheers
My car is in production will be at the dealer by 7 April at the latest, so should be ready for collection the following week or maybe just before the ball if all goes well
Goodridge hoses and Mintex Spec C brake fluid - apparently the Mintex fluid isn't a 'race spec' as 5 dot 1? It was recommended to me by a local guy and the people I'm buying the hoses from. My fluid will be due a change in April as the car hits the 2 year mark anyway !
