We are delighted to announce that our stunning new state-of-the-art Porsche Centre opened for business in July 2007, heralding the beginning of a new and exciting future for Porsche Centre Leeds.

Our new £6.2 million facility occupies nearly three acres of land and is conveniently located on the outskirts of Leeds, just off junction 1 of the M621. The new Centre includes an impressive 30-car showroom, displaying all the latest models in the Porsche range as well as an extensive selection of Porsche Approved used cars. In addition to this, the new site can now accommodate parking for up to 175 cars.

Our new service workshop has a total of 18 work bays and is staffed by a specialist team of Porsche professionals including a team of highly qualified Porsche-trained technicians. Visitors can now benefit from a Direct Dialogue bay where cars can be assessed and any necessary work highlighted and explained before it commences.

What a morning......

I witnessed a bad accident on the A41 on my way into the office.

Side road, car braking to stop at give way junction, appears to skid on frosty road surface.

Car proceeds over give way line at approx 30 mph straight into a 7.5t wagon in front of me.

Huge bang on impact.

Car rebounds off wagon onto verge. From the windscreen forward is totally flat.

Dial 999, then go to see the aftermath. Both occupants shaken & stirred, but somehow have managed to avoid serious injury.

Wagon driver OK too.

Emergency services arrive, and I give my details to the BiB........

1 second later and it would have been me they hit.....sobering thought.

I'm having an X5 3.0 d single turbo on test next weekend, just to try it out - should be interesting - my dealer reckons I don't need the twin turbo version, but I dunno, more power is always good

Though on these single carriageway roads here, the cruising speed is 50mph anyway, and few overtaking opportunities, so maybe I should just save the € 5k ?

Gotta say the Polo held up well, anything less and I'm sure there would have been a fatality.
