I just had a good look at the S Im going to test drive on Monday in the dealers showroom........

EB/White, Chilli, Sunroof, and White 17" S spokes......

I just cant get to love the white S spokes...... They just dont work for me, I think Ill have to stick with silver wheels.......

Saw a Red/White Cooper with the aero grille and X-lites........wasnt mad about the overall combo either, but the X lites arent bad !!

To be honest I didn't even notice, just heard that lovely engine which you can hear a lot better with the roof open. Blasted through a tunnel in 2nd taking it up to max rev, wow what a sound

I guess it might get a little noisy on the motorway when you take it over 70 mph, but hey you can always close it then and use your manual aircon (save some bucks for the sunroof and skip the climate control ). It's just fantastic cruising round town with that sunroof open. Get it Aiden, you won't regret it

Yeah,

I think the roof is a must-have.........well, thats that choice made !!

Just have to finalise the rest of the options now.....

Chill Red, or Dark Silver ???

I still havent seen enough decent Chilli Red pics.......and, despite everyone assuring me that modern red cars dont fade, I saw a 98 Corolla at work the other day, and it was almost pink !!! I still have my doubts.....

The EB car in the showroom today looked good, it was a sunny day, and the colour did appeal to me.......

It gets more and more confusing as time goes on !!!

Aiden,
I had a CR/w S on order. Still love that combo, however, there were two reasons for me to change:

1. The fear of fading of the red, whether rightly or not, call it psychological;

2. Seeing a DS in the flesh standing next to a CR/w Cooper at my dealers. I changed spec right away. And this one even had a black roof

The look of the DS/b at my 2nd test drive last Friday confirmed my right colour of choice again (and my right choice of roof colour Allthough I must admit that the DS/b does look smart... ) Especially in the sun the DS looks scarily awesome

QQQ,

The fear of the red fading really bothers me alright, and in all honesty, my heart is sating DS/White !!

I just havent seen it in reality yet.........I will simply have to make a trip to Dublin to get a look at it, my dealers is fairly small, and only has that EB/W S in stock.....

Id say Ill go with the DS/W eventually though.......

I saw Half Leather today for the first time also. I was well impressed.

Oh I also saw a PS/B S parked next to a DS/W and a DS/B S. The DS/W blew them all away. Trust me mate, I've got excellent taste get your S in DS/W you won't regret it.
