Ordered MCS!!

Delivery sometime in September - hopefully beginning !

Spec - MCS DS/B (Alloy Patina), chili, sunroof, MFSW, CD-Boost

Have I left anything of great importance out, keeping in mind I'm trying to stick to around 17 Grand?

Also what about the black roof, it was between that and all DS, but thought with having the sunroof it'd look better black!

in my opinion get an aftermarket radio, the boost cd for £170 is really poor value for money, spend like I did £150 on a dc player, and it is so much better than the factory fitted one, that gives you now £170 to spend on other stuff...

hows about AirCon - it is a great feature, and "helps" the resale...

sports seats, or are they standard in the chilli pack?

A/C comes as part of the chilli pack. Sports seats standard on S.

Ref comments on aftermarket CD player. I am planning on fitting one of these hence didnt spec the boost system. Are the speakers the same for wave and boost?

Only other issue with aftermarket CD is the multi-function steering wheels controls wont work!!!!

I'm very happy with the sound from the MINI CD player and it looks good.

Think the speakers are uprated for boost.

Yeah AC and Sports seats as standard. Considered an after market radio but would rather have the MFSW work. Also I'm sure the radio is good enough for me

Just a thought, what colour are the wing mirrors when you order all DS, wouldn't they look a bit odd if they were the only thing in black?

I toyed with Dark Silver, but opted for Black/Black with the chrome!! - gone for the sunroof also, i think it looks awsome both internally and externally. Thought about MSFW, but I got hands to turn the stereo knob & I also have cruise on my BMW and never use it.

Try and get your dealer to chuck in a scotch guard on the paintwork, mine did!!

They'll be painted gloss black. They'll match your black plastic skirts. You could opt for the chrome packs giving you a chrome grill and mirrors. That would look sweet with DS/DS.

KenL - I reckon black mirrors on a DS/B - the black mirrors would compliment the roof! Chrome only looks good on all black or all silver cars as it breaks up the colours nicely.

Think he asked what colour the mirros would be if ordering a DS car with DS roof. I suggested chrome mirrors/grill on the all DS would look good.

Agreed that an all black car with chrome is the biz. I'm dreaming about that for my next MINI.

Think I'll stick with the DS/B, I just love the fact the sunroof hardly stands out on a black roof.

No one's really commented on the options, is there anything else I NEED apart from chili, CD, MFSW and Sunroof?

the Cooper S chili pack covers about everything. keep it nice and simple. You got a real nice spec there, not over board.

My local dealer has a black MCS on his forcourt and the previous own must have ticked every box when it came to options. The car is Up at £20k and can he shift it for love or money.........NO

I got DS/B with sunroof on Monday and looks great. Didn't get the chromeline exterior but did order the chrome mirror caps at £40 - really looks good with the chrome door handle and fuel cap etc - get them you won't regret it.

Only extas i got over your planned spec was heated mirrors / jets and visibility pack to get the heated front screen (important to me as I park in the open).
