Question British cars with "stumble" & "yo yo"!!!!

Calling all Brit owners with an MCS.Has anyone been told of a software update(or had one) to cure the dreaded "yips".Been told by my dealer to "run it in". Now done 1800 miles,no difference! Need some ammunition to confront my dealer with.
I have a car which I love to bits but the little nigglies are really starting to get to me!!!!!!!!!
Any help would be much appreciated.

Your dealer should be able to upgrade the software on your ecu which may or may not cure the problem.
Use the search feature (yo yo) as it has been mentioned many times and there are loads of replies.
One sure way to cure it though is to convert your car to one of the many 200+ BHP engine conversions, not cheap but huge grin factor

I can't tell if its ***** engineering or a one-off problem with one car. First gear is never smooth when pulling off, and second gear stumbles if I take my foot off the gas and let it rev down.

After 2900miles I should take it to my dealer and make him drive it, either that or get a second opinion at the next MINI2 meet :/

I had the stumble and it wasn't fixed by the software version they had. I believe v36 is the one you need - my dealer, however, only had v34. I was told the software updates were released about once a month - I decided to reject the car after they couldn't fix the fault.

You will find quite a lot of stuff on the stumble issue if you do a search.

Sham - How old was your car, how many miles had it done and how many trips to the dealers for this problem did you do before rejecting the car. This info would help as I have had this prob from day 1.

53 reg -Sep 1st. Problem highlighted within about 3 weeks. Had one trip to the dealer when I said that if it wasn't sorted out I would reject the car as it was a known MINI problem. Car rejected at the end of week 1 in October - end mileage was about 1100. It may have been rejected earlier if I had booked it in - (I was waiting for a new bonnet to come in which took a month).
