Red Cooper Finally took the plunge!!

Well I finally did it. My MCS will be here in Feb!!!!! I am soooooo excited!! I have been wanting one for a while, and there is a chevy dealer where I live that buys MC/MCS at promotional auctions, puts a rediculous mark up on them, and then actually sells them. But they were nice enough to let me take one home for a day, and I absolutly fell in love. Mine is Chili w/white, bonnet stripes, and everything you can get on it minus the GPS. Now if it would only get here!!! But hey it's on a boat now, so maybe the time will go by faster than it has. Happy motoring!!!!!

Thanks for the welcome! I could not believe the performance of this car. Plus I am going to commute in it, so it will be a little funner than my 03 Dodge quad cab w/a 5.9l 360! And it will get better gas milage too... It's cool because I only have to wait like 7 weeks for mine. the dealer in Sacramento CA (100 miles from me) orders their quota for the quater with all different pacages, and this one wasen't reserved yet. It is everything I wanted, plus some! like the Xenon w/ washers, dimming mirrors, auto-leveling headlamps, auto-sensing wipers, etc.... My wife is getting sick of me talking about MCS. It's funny 'cause when I get home from work I am like, guess what I read on mini2!!! I have been lurking around for a while, but wanted to wait until I actually ordered/reserved/recieved my MCS. But you can see how impatient I am...

I'm excited too -- although I took my "plunge" in October and still have at least 6-8 weeks to go... I'm trading in my big Soccer Mom BMW X5, which was unique and cool when I got it, but is a bit ubiquitous now. Going for something smaller and more fun -- the closest I could get to a convertible mid-life crisis car, while still maintaing a "real" backseat for the kiddo! Everyone I've told about my new car has been very positive -- more than just politely so -- and many are downright envious. I have a toy Pepper White MINI on my desk as my daily reminder. Looking forward to joining the club!!!
