Roof colour...?

Hello - I am new to this forum, and very useful it is too!
I have a Cooper S on order (17th on list at Cooper Reading - delivery in November )
Like everyone else I am dreaming up my spec at the moment - but I have a dilemma with the roof colour. I just can't bring myself to like the black or (especially) the white roof thing! I know you can order a body colour roof but I have yet to see one. I am worried that choosing body colour may affect resale as it seems that every man and his dog likes the different coloured roofs! Any opinions people? Has anybody seen a Cooper S with a body coloured roof, and did it look OK?

There are so many decisions to be made with this car but, alas, so much time to think about it.....

ummmmmm,,, why worry about what the Next guy likes or dislikes about Your car? You're not buying it for him. Anyway, who knows what may be in or out of fashion fifteen or twenty years down the road.

I am 3rd on the list for an S at Altwood in Maidenhead. Like you I also intend to go for a body-coloured roof. I havent seen any pictures of an S with this yet.

I don't think you will lose much at resale time.

What colour are you getting the car? I cannot decide between Indi Blue or Dark Silver.

I've seen an Indi Blue solid & a Silk Green solid in the flesh

Neither worked for me, though I think IB looks great with white. Silk Green is just NMCOT

I suspect the most effective solid colour for an S will be black, just 'cos all black is always cool. Red and both silvers will be good too IMO, particularly DS

Safe choice will be to stick with contrasting roof, but hell it's your car so go with your instincts. Life's too short to play it safe all the time

I'm also going for the body coloured roof, for an idea of looks call at your dealer and view some MINI One's.

Im thinkin of DS with DS roof ....u get black mirrors then althogh i do like the DS with white roof to
