Cooper S: To buy or not to buy... let's hear it from those who own them Hello, I'm a 20 year old college student. Up until recently I was planning on purchasing a Infinith G35 coupe. But once I looked into MINIs, I feel that they are far less expensive and right for a student. (a 25K car as opposed to a 40K car)... I basically look for comfort and performance in a car. Do you guys think MCS would be a good choice for me? Fill me in! I appreciate it very much. |

| I have only had my MCS for about amonth and a half, but I love it! The only way that you are going to know if the car is right for you is to drive it. The G35 and the MCS are two completely different cars. You will probably feel the road much more in the MCS, so the only way you are going to know which one is better for you is to take both of them on a long test drive. Figure out which one fits you best, and get that one. But I have a feeling that it will be the MCS!! Good luck. |

| performance wise go for it without a blink Comfort?? test drive one once on not so good roads. Itīs going to be up to you... I love my MCS and wouldnīt trade it for nothing else ( at least that I can afford) but itīs not the most confortable car that Iīve drove. One very good thing though - It keeps me awake in Portuguese highways.......... |

| If you want the absolute best ride/handling quality in your MCS, DO NOT GET THE 17" S-Lite wheels and tires and go instead with the MCS stock 16" V-Spoke tires and rims. This means that you will need to skip the MCS "Sport Package". I repeat: Do not waste your money on the factory 17" wheels...too heavy, curb scarpe/pot hole damage prone (Due to low tire profile) and rough, rough riding. If you get a Cooper or Cooper S, make sure to always select the 16" tire/wheel combo as your first choice. Oh and BTW, a new Lotus Elise costs $20K+ more than a base MCS, so there is absolutely no comparison, dollar for dollar. For the price of an Elise you can buy two stock MCS! | HUmmm compared to a G35C?? wow... thats a awesome car!! confort wise I think the G35s got the MINI beat... power wise also... but the MINI is very very fun car to drive... and prob less common than the G35C... you can consider the 350Z its just a tad more than the MCS... but over all I still recommend the MCS... but thats just me. theres no car out there between 30K and 70K maybe 80K now that I want more than the MINI... after 80 then yes... plenty cars i would take over the MINI... |
