39 views and nobody has answered...! You dont have one is the answer. You have a warning light which (obviously) lights up when your car gets too hot.

BMW in their infinite wisdom only give you an idiot light when you have Sat Nav installed

In short you don't know whether your car is getting on the warm side until the little red light suddenly pops on needless to say in some cases it might be too late at that point

If it really concerns you then there are both OEM and after market gauges that can be fitted that provide additional temp & pressue information

Who does them? I noticed Trelo has them - is it an Alta package?

The OEM additional gauges are battery and oil temperature (I think) and fit on top of the transmission tunnel below the toggle switches.

The Alta kit is designed to match the standard tacho (different kits for Sat Nav and non Sat Nav cars for obvious reasons ) and provides boost and oil temperature (might be other options - unsure)

Robbo has the OEM gauges and I think TRELO has both

Thats of course if it works , I have sat nav and find it a major annoyance that there is no temp guage, I do not like to push my car until the engine is warm, how do I know ?

Still the sat nav is good though
