Maintenance Packages... Looking into buying a 04 MCS I test drove one recently -loved it- and I vaguely remember sales boy saying something about free oil changes at any MINI dealership in US Was this a real package or was he taking advantage of my "zone"? |

| Welcome to MINI2. All MINIs sold (new) in the US include free maintence for 3 years or 36K miles. That includes an oil change at the factory interval as calculated by the car (~10K, ~25K) as well as air filter changes, wiper blades, etc. So basically, your sales guy was just telling you the truth, but because of the long oil change intervals, its not like its worth tons of money, but it'll save you a few $100. Just another MINI perk, but to be honest, it has a lot to do with that an oil change outside of free maintence is $80-$100 so people who bought a car that costs as much or less as your average Chevy and then found out maintence costs the same as a 5 series BMW might be less inclined to go to the dealer for maintence. PS. Please don't crosspost, I've deleted your other thread. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
