I ordered my MCS on March 13 and should get it early next week, so a bit over 3 months. I paid a small deposit, around 5%, and the balance is payable on delivery. Of course, wait times will be different in the States, and I believe about two months is on the money.

Resistance is futile!

The S models take a bit longer -- 3-4 months, or even longer, depending on where you live. Mine took 4 months (received Feb. 12, 2004).

You put down a deposit to order the car -- about $500. But you don't start making any payments until you take delivery (and then payments probably don't start for about a month -- other than paying taxes, title and license fees at delivery).

I've got my fingers crossed for you! The MINI is a great car for anyone!

Hi there. I put down a $500 deposit on a MCS 6/12, and it should arrive the first or second week in Sept.

Hello there. Im ready to get one so bad. But it seems that my dealer wont place the order until he finds out prices. I might have to bug him a little more. Im looking into chili red, with white bonnet stripes, and white roof. Right now I am not sure on the interior yet. Should I go with Alloy Patina, Silver, or Anthracite. I am leaning toward Anthracite. I think that would be cool with the chrome interior package of the 05.
