United-Kingdom New BHP from 163 to 170

Hi,

Does anybody know what changes have been made to the stock MCS that have increased the BHP by 7 ?

Also - I am buying a new MCS JCW in November and would like to know if the BHP of this will be 207 instead of 200 ?

Many thanks,
EB

from what i have read, the upgrade is lower gearing and ECu changes, also the same scharger as is in the JCW kit.

Also, what do you get for your money to replace the already installed JCW scharger ??

I suppose you could sell it as a JCW scharger instead of a MCS stock scharger.

Anybody ?

Hmmm OK so if the JCW kit will now use the same s'charger as a cooking 's' does that mean it will be cheaper?

Anybody?

You would think so, but I bet they will insist on changing the whole unit just to reduce the pulley size....

Strange when I was at John Cooppers the other week I asked about this and they siad the power was to remain the same

The chap did wonder, though, that if they were going to have the same SC as the JCW wether they may reduce the price of the conversion. He did look VERY unsure on that though.

Dealer told me that the revised JCW kit will preserve the increase to BHP already added by MINI - so the increase is the same, giving a higher overall BHP than the previous version. Dealer also told me a few days ago that the price is pretty similar also, and that the new JCW kit is available from mid-late sept.
