405 miles out of a tank!!!

Just got 405 miles out of a tank (without running out)

Driving "Miss Daisy" stylie

Anyone done better?

It's not very hard if you drive on the right roads at the right speeds. It's very possible to get over 40 mpg on an S.

Well done !!..... 360 is my best, but its too difficult for mr to drive that way for too long, miss the exhaust noise too much !

Wow! That is great! I think the best I have ever done is 350+ on a road trip. That shows some serious throttle control, but even more so, some serious foot control.

Not even close! I'm getting about 26mpg (though the OBC says 33) - and I can only rev to 4000rpm since I'm still in the break-in period!

I hope all the horrible traffic these days is just tourists and that after Labor Day all the San Diego freeways will lighten up again.

Sorry to cool down your celebration, but there is a guy about 10 posts above that did 471 miles on a tank. If you drove 'Miss Daisy, style, this guy may have driven my grandpa style... and my grandpa's being dead for about 15 years

Who cares how high you can get the mpg, question is, how low can you get it?? I've seen mine down as low as 18mpg on the road, 9 on the track....
