Picking it up tomorrow!!!

I will be boarding a plane at 7:30am, landing in Fort Lauderdale at 8:40am. My MA (who I have spoken to many times on the phone, but have never met in person) is going to pick me up at the airport and take me to see my DS/B MCS. The dealer opens at 9am and my MA isn't even supposed to get to work until noon! Then it's a 250 mile drive home - but nice and easy during the break in period.

Would this happen to be Fort Lauderdale Mini?

I live in the area and I am desperately awaiting the 2005 Mini catalog to order my DG\W MCS. A month ago I went to both Mini dealers in Broward County FL and at the end of the day I was sort of confused and imbarrased to ask if Mini MSRP are negotiable or do Mini dealers fall into the NO Haggle category?

Best of luck with your new Mini,

Best of luck, enjoy!

I'm taking the train and a ferry to pick mine up in September! I will tell you one thing - nowadays if you want to book a one-way trip anywhere, people get real nervous!

And I'd assume you are out there with your MINI as I type this

Some say he loves gaming and that he also loves house work..... All we know is, he's called The ScottyB!

I wish this story had a happy ending, but. . . 40 miles into the return trip a terrible squeal began to come from under the bonnet. No warning lights or anything, so I continued home. The next morning (Thursday) I took it into the local dealer, they said it was a pulley tensioner, but they didn't have the part. The car was ready 5pm Friday, so I owned the car 3 days, but only had possession of it for 1. Today, the squeal is back - going back in tomorrow.

Ahhh bummer!

Sorry to hear your introduction to MINI ownership has been an unfortunate one. Hope it is all fixed for you soon

Not the best start to your MINI adventure

I hope it all gets fixed soon.

Is the local dealer you went in to for repairs ******ed off that you flew elsewhere to buy the MINI?
