Hi there just bought a march 03 cooper S, Just a couple of question though. 1 the exhaust seems to vibrate slightly and slide back and forth, again slightly, on the exhaust braces on the underside of the car. is this the norm, the car has had a service only a few months back so any serious probs would hopefully have been picked up. 2. when you switch on side lights does the bumper lights plus a part of the main cluster eluminate or just the bumper lights.
A little bit of vibration and movement is ok on the exhaust, it's probably to allow for expansion when hot. Mine vibrates on a cold start, never checked it for movement though.
The side lights are only on the bumper, nowt in the main cluster except dipped and main beams and a little circle (usually with Xenon written on it for X equipped cars)
