Hi all!

Late to the game and just picked up a used Dec 02 MCS. LY/W roof, mirrors and stripes! Comes standard with automatic AC, obc, 17 inch s/rims, and leather seats with that funny plastic/metal interior (whatever that is called). The yellow interior looks great though, doubt they have that in Singapore.

Anyway, love driving every minute of it. Love the color! Very fun, engaging drive (I had a 7 yr-old boxster tip before this). No regrets!

Just found this thread thanks to Liam. My baby is a 9/2002 build LY/W MCS with white bonnet strips. I ordered in June 2002 just after the Australian launch of the MCS. LY was the only colour to chose from after finding out the BRG was a metallic instead of solid colour. Check my gallery for some pics.

BTW, I'm after opinions on options for colour-coding. I was originally keen to get the black plastic arches/skirts resprayed in LY, but then thought solid black would look better, and now I'm siding towards LY again. Please add your thoughts to the following thread:

Well, my former MCS was LY/LY. Since LY is no longer offered for the MCS I'm changing over to HB/S. Pic of my LY/LY attached.

LY is by far the best looking color... Even higher now in my book as they discontinued the color! Which, I might add, is beyond me...

My LYC is coming up for 4 years old. After all of this time I have next to nothing to complain about. Apart from my new gearbox after just 32,000 miles (just over 3 years - and out of warranty but they sorted it) and 2 replacement steering racks.I have mentioned this before, but I am a bit concerned about the BMW colour. Has anyone any tips (zymol, polish etc..) to buff the colour back to its original? Having retro fitted the Aerokit, the difference was immediately apparent although it is blending with time.

I'm amazed at how many LY/B minis there are out there. Of course Mine is the best

LY gets a bad rap... if I could've found a car comparable to my current Works in yellow, I'd have snapped it up (that said, I do love PW just as much). There seem to be hardly any LY Cooper S's in the UK - rare as rocking horse poo as they say! I think I've only ever seen one hardtop on the road, and not a single convertible.
