United-States Pics of my EB/EB S and my add-on addiction

I've finally had time to take some pics of my EB/EB S since my latest additions. Here's a sample:

I've posted many more pictures in my photo gallery: http://www.pbase.com/lciscon/mymini

BTW, I've also posted some pictures from the Texas Hill Country Rendezvous: http://www.pbase.com/lciscon/hcr2004

As far as the addiction....read on...(if you dare)

It started so innocently.....I've never been a car-fanatic, so I just stuck to the "basics":
- Premium Package
- Sports Pack
- Black Leather
- HK Stereo

Of course, a few factory add-ons are always nice:
- Aero Grill on Stock S Bumper
- Driving Lights
- Rear Saddlebag
- Boot mat

And of course all Mini owners know how important it is to have driving music....
- XM Radio Adaptor (Blitzsafe)
- Dension iPod Adaptor

Hmm, a leather shift knob would be cooler in the hot Texas heat...and I'm all for organization....
- Momo Leather Shift Knob
- Glove Compartment Organizer
- Center Console Organizer
- Rear Seat “Pulls” (people who buy the other items often get these too!)

ugh! They disabled auto-up in the US!!! Hehe, I'll fix that!
- Auto-up/Garage Door Circuit

...uh oh, I feel the urge building...Power! I need Power!
- JCW Kit

If you've got the power, you have to have the tools to use it...
- ProMini Gauge Pod (Oil Pressure, Boost)

Ooh, those wheels would look *good* (and they're practical )
- 17x7 BBS RGR + Yokohamas

Ooh, my aching back! Hmm......
- JCW Seats

Sigh, I guess I'm done....well, I really need to upgrade the suspension...and the brakes....custom graphics?......aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! !!!

when will it end?!?!?!?

One of the best MINIs I have ever seen. Great begining and great add-ons.

Love the wheels....what did you pay for them? Are the Yoks runflats or not...if not do you have the mobility pack? My MCS is due in Feb or March and I have been debating what to do about wheels. I want the option wheels for the MCSC, but it's probably smarter to just take the Slites and buy aftermarket. I was thinking I would use the runflats until they wear out and put them on RGRs!

Thanks in advance!

Ah but have you removed the rear seats four times? I wonder what my neighbours thought
when I arrived home with my new car in the evening and first thing next day proceeded to
remove the interior. I've installed aftermarket stereo, now on its fourth iteration, PDA and
will be adding R90 replicas soon. I can't compete with the seats though they look the
business . Oh and I've only changed my mind about stripes and lights 1,000 times,
I've had the car 360 days. Needless to say your colour choice is perfect . You are
on a roll, don't stop now.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

The same orange color as the rest of the gauges....most people are surprised that they are an add-on.

Cool first post, cool car.....

Can I ask how much those extra gauges cost, and who fit them for you? (DIY or Minigarage or specialist)?

I would go for the Works seats myself, but I fear that I need lypo suction on my but first....

I can also confirm that YOU GOTTA get the brakes upgraded...

Thanks for the comments!!

I got the rims at TireRack. The BBS RGR's are $403 with the Diamond Black finish. The finish looks much better in person than in pictures. And I *highly* recommend TireRack; they were quick, easy, & very helpful about Mini-specific installation.

And no, the tires aren't runflats. I found the runflats a bit too harsh, so I replaced them with regular tires after only 4,000 miles...but most people wait till they wear out.

I understand completely. I've been playing with my own custom stripe designs for 3 months....I'll post something if I ever make up my mind

Yeah, the "small" standard brakes are a *lot* more visible through the BBS wheels....of course, you were talking about the performance improvement, right?

The gauges are from Promini (www.promini.com). They are a pricey ($475, although I got them a bit cheaper during a sale), but they are very good quality & come with everything you need for a clean installation. They even attach to the dimming circuit.

I installed them myself. It was not too difficult, but I took my time & made sure I had the right tools & planned ahead....and I am fairly good with electrical circuits. It's a full day's job (for a novice).

I should have included that info to begin with...they're stock size 205/45-17's. I debated getting 215/40's, but decided that they look a little "thin" at stock ride height. If I change the suspension, I'll probably get the car lowered a bit & then switch to 215's the next time I need tires.

The good thing about the Yok's is that they're a good value & yet have very good handling characteristics.
