Black or White roof Dark Silver Cooper S?

Could we settle this question once and for all? I know it's probably down to personal taste, but I'd like to know the general view anyway.

Which roof colour looks the best on the dark silver S?

Pros and Cons, the lot

P.S any one got a good shot of a white roof cooper or S with a sunroof?

I'm ordering DS/black. Since all MINI's have quite a bit of black on the them anyway, not adding a third color (white) gives the car a more integrated appearance. The S that I drove was DS/white, and it did look good, but it didn't change my mind that black looks better.

I've decided on DS/black and it's been over a week now since I last changed my mind. This way at least I can get a sunroof too.
IMO I think it's the best colour combo for that dark moody look for which I'm after.
...and before you ask I just can't go with solid black after having Cosmos black

I think the black roof, especially with the sunroof. Unless you want to point out just how big the sunroof is, I think it looks best in a black roof on any mini...

White Roof for me.

Dark Silver is a pretty dark colour, so in this gloomy climate of ours you need to add a little contrast to make the car stand out from the norm. I love the white roof, when I had it on my BRG Cooper it made the car stick out like a sore thumb.

I was going to get a DS with a black roof when I saw it indoors but I saw it with the white roof and sunroof in daylight and it looks great day and night so I think I might either go with body color or white with the sunroof.

This was a tough call for me also, black or white.

In the end after lots of looking at the cars in the dealership I've bucked the trend and gone for a DS roof. But that's because I wanted the sunroof as well.

For me the black window frames, black sunroof and black roof just looked too dark.

The black window frames, black sunroof and white roof just seemed to have the colour in the wrong places; from the bottom up it was DS, Black, White, Black and the white was just too flat for me compared with the shine you get from the DS and black. Also wasn't sure about the white door mirrors!! More bits of white. I don't like the white wheels either (definately silver for me).

Also....most people are going for a white or black roof because its a Cooper - I decided the S was above all that and I've gone for what I think is the class option - DS all over.

But....when the pre-specced cars arrive end of May (not long now) I may change my mind....

Mine's gonna be white. Although I agree that it makes the roof stand out more, I like the white roof, which will show less scratches in the long run. The bonnet stripes look better in white also. Tough choice - I guess that's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

for my choice, white roof it is with sunroof. As others have mentioned, I also like the contrast of the colors.

Living in Oxford I've had the advantage of seeing most of the combinations out on the road in different weathers (and states of cleanliness) and it has to be a Black roof for Dark Silver.
If I was going for a more "fun" colour like Red or Yellow then I'd probably think about a white roof but Dark Silver just looks so good topped off with those black window frames running into the black roof.
