The whole S & black paint issue.

Has this been definitively answered yet? The last posts I saw seemed to suggest that Black was available from July build onwards, but....

I went into the dealer on Friday and asked to change my colour to Black. My dealer gave a grimace and asked if I was sure, I said: "Yeah, I'd read in several places that Black wasn't an issue anymore after July!"

We looked on the system and it plainly said on the BMW dealer build site that Black was still not going to be available until September build.

So what's the answer? My dealer says that if its not available until then I'll have to push it out until October...Waaah! (I'm already slightly irritated that having been 5th on the list I still have to wait until September). Still I've been telling myself over and over, wait for what you want, you'll be happier in the long run (even if your washing bills go up )

I've been told definitively it's July build (for September delivery for me in Aus). I'm going to be so disappointed, and not a little P'd off, if there is a delay

Although I have not been told when it will be available.

I have ordered mine in Black, Sytner say they cannot order it on the computer yet but have taken a manual order.

It is available for Septemeber / October build apparently, as is the Harmon Kardon HiFi.

I only want black so am prepaired to wait.

Have to drive my Cooper till then..

While we're on the subject, I'd been giving some thought to changing the color of my car to Indi Blue, and getting the HK Hi-Fi, to go with. This, with the options I've already selected, make for the ultimate MINI, in my opinion. I changed the color to DS because I wanted the car this summer. Now, being that I cannot get the sport package on the car until late summer, I'm thinking about waiting for the Fall delivery so I am assured to get ALL of the options I want. I dunno. I was sure that the DS would be great, because I would get the car I wanted, save for the color, and have it for the summer. Now that that is not possible, maybe waiting a little longer will be worth it. My, up to this point, unshaken confidence and 1985 Audi are starting to fail me.

BMW Australia have been told July-build in writing by Germany and are yet to hear anything to the contrary
