| M7 Springs VS H-Sport Springs After reading all the raves between these two springs, I can't choose which one to pick. Can someone here provide me with an explanation which one I should buy and why? Thanks in advance! RIP - 95 BMW M3 (extremely modded) NEW - 05 Mini Cooper S |

| I have also read about these two sets of springs being very good! I also read somewhere that coilovers might be overkill for the average enthusiast... The shocks that the MINI comes with are pretty good as far as compression and rebound. But agreed, camber plates will come into play once the car starts to get closer to the ground! I am sizing up a good set of springs (probably H-Sport) and rear swaybar!!! |

Hmmm... I have been chastized in the past for just "doing springs" by the SCCA racequip crowd. "The pros" tell me that stock shocks with aftermarket springs is not a good idea. But, you seem to have your info from sources you respect and in the end you must go with your own gut feeling. H-Sport is a very respected company and their products are widely utilized with, from what I understand, very few issues. Hope your upgrade turns out to be highly rewarding. Keep us posted ! It is not how fast you go, but how you go. |

| Most MCS drivers--including ethusiasts and light autocrossers--won't be able to realize the real potential of coilovers on their cars. The MCS handles very well for a stock FWD car, and adding a rear sway bar with springs (as well as proper tires) will provide a ride that exceeds most people's needs. I had PSS9's and fr/rr sway bars on my 2000 Golf 1.8t because that car handled like butt without them. WIth my MCS I'm going with H-Sport springs and a rear sway bar, and I think I'll be very happy. I'm going to take the $1000 I save and go to a racing school. That's where the real handling of my car will be improved. As far as which spring, I would say the H-Sports because I have never heard a bad thing about them. Everyone who has them goes on and on about how great they are. I also know quite a few people who are autocrossing these with stock struts and no problems. When the stock ones go, you can just buy some Koni adjustables. I mean, if you're serious about tracking your car, you're going to be going through parts anyway. Might as well use up the stock parts when possible and just keep adding on as you wear and tear. 05 MCS PS/B |

| hello there, no one has mentioned anything about the m7's besides hearing how good they are. I have m7 springs on my ride and like them alot. My 02 came with some pretty stiff springs that sucked on the bumpier roads and freeways, basically because you feel the jumping between the front and back. M7's pretty much killed all the jumpiness. Perfect for cruising and aggressive driving IMO. A few buddies of mine have h-sports and like em alot too, but admit that they get kinda rough. I'm sure because they are a progressive spring, they are intitially softer, but it's not by very much. Remember that your options will also determine how the springs feel too. Good luck man! | Hey this may be a dumb question, but if I change to lowering springs, can I still get alignment under warranty? I mean I know the camber/caster will be off, but can dealer still adjust the toe under warranty? Thanks! RIP - 95 BMW M3 (extremely modded) NEW - 05 Mini Cooper S |
