Loving my MCS too!! Will post some pics when I get home later - haven't had a chance yet. Still only got 101 miles on the clock (and 65 of those on the motorway back from my mum and dad's, where I picked it up) however it is filthy already!!!!

This car is everything I expected and more. The MFSW, visibility pack and auto air con were all things I didn't spec on my Cooper but I am so glad I have them on this Mini as they are FAB!

Hi Everyone!

Only 22.5 hours left for me then I can have my baby!!

Just need to get through my night shift tonight from 21:00 to 07:00!

Collecting my MCS at 12:00 in London. I do not think I will be able to sleep for the few hours before collection but I am sure the adrenaline will sort me out!

E-N-J-O-Y the new toys you fellow fanatics!

Mine tried "quite hard" to sell me shortfall insurance when I went to pick the car up.

Quite fun watching them scrabble about when I asked to see full T&Cs, plus details of which legal requirement meant they were "obliged" to tell me about the benefits of this though.

Mine didn't ask for nothing, before payment just wanted to know how I would be paying, said by debit card, job done.

Gave advice on GAP insurance, which I thought sounded good, but didn't go for it, Morris said thats fine but if I changed my mind give him a call.

Haugh MINI are awesome!

Yeah I got all that too. Thing is, shortfall or gap insurance is great for something like a Citroen or a Ford that will depreciate quickly.. and yet not so good for something like a MINI that would hold its value. Its bloody expensive too at nearly 500 quid!
I kept saying no, but she kept talking anyway. They also pushed tire insurance.. note, doesn't cover wear and tear.. whats the point!! They also offered me finance even though I was offering them my debit card...

These are the sorts of things my Dad, unfortunately would be conned into buying 'just to be safe'. Not good

Best thing to do with people like that is just say yes and then when you leave their office do what ever the hell you want. They can't force you to sign and pay for it.

The finance guy at my garage tried hard and he sounded like the type of person who doesn't understand the word no. I got sick of him after 3 mins and just said yes to everything. When I went to pick the car up I just told him I found everything he was trying to sell me on the net loads cheaper so I didn't need their extra insurance. Which is a total lie didn't even look but the worst that would happen is they try to price match.

This technique of just agreeing to everything and still doing whatever the hell I like has always served me well with parents, teachers, managers etc

Gutted!

Went into London early this morning after finishing my night shift.
Managed to make it thought the morning rush and all the snow.

Went through to Oxford Street to kill time before my noon delivery appointment and then received a call at 10:30am from my MINI dealer to tell me that they just received my car at 04:00am THIS morning and that I will only be able to collect it middle of NEXT WEEK!!!

WTF???

I just absolutely flipped and could not believe that they would do this 90 minutes before collection!!

I am gutted!

I managed to see my car though and must say I was well pleased with how it has turned out. I could not get inside and it still needed the side skirts and bonnet stripes but it looked well !

So all and all not a disastrous day but my wait have just been extended by another week!

Oh man, that sucks big style

Why didn't they contact you before

I hope they give you some extra goodies to make up for the wait, and on a slight positive note, hopefully the weather will be better next week too
