Help a newbee!

Hi there.

I am from Norway, and I am considering buying a Cooper S. My girlfriend is all crazy about the idea! She loves the car! I on the other hand, want to do som research before making a purchase. In Norway this is a almost £28 000 car so I want to be sure. I am after a used car, and these are my questions.

1. What year du I want? 2003? 2004? 2005?, and why?
Anything that separates them?

2. A week a go I saw Red one and i realy liked the color, but it was all red ( red body, red roof). Anone got some more pics of that combo?

3. What to look for (generaly on a used Mini)?

4. Is there a Cooper S faq thread on this forum?

I know that these questions probably have been asked 100 times before, so please guide me to other informative treads if you don't want to answer the questions.

Good luck hunting.By the time you start stipulating a color scheme, you are probably going to have to custom order your car new.The 2005 has a lot of good features that the older cars don't have ( limited slip differential,better gear ratios etc.) you have really bitten off alot by the time you start comparing these cars by year, but it's not impossible , so have at it and prepare to get bitten by the bug! happy hunting, Jock

Made a quick deal, and the new car comming on Wednesday! I am very Happy! Its a demo car with 3000km on it. Registered April 05 so its practically new. Exactly the colour i wanted, thats why i bought it instead of waiting for a new. Hyper Blue with white roof and mirrors, Chilli, xenon, 17", Chrono, Crome interior/exterior, Harman/Kardon, tinted rear windows, Painted interior, Part leather.

Cant wait!!

Don't want the stripes, as I want a more clean look. It's not that i don't like them. I think they are nice on other cars. Just don't want them on mine.

I'm always gonna remember you birthday then!
