Should I stay or should I go?

Dilemma

The ETA of my Chili red cooper s is on August 1. The exact time of departure of my holiday is August 2. So instead of motoring in my so long awaited MCS, I am in Greece riding a twelve year old rented stinking honda off-the-road (if I'm lucky, might as well end up at the back of a donkey)

Moreover, for 2 1/2 weeks I would also have to pretend to my girlfriend that I'm having a good time and that I'd wish this holiday would never end

My brother already offered to take "the honeurs" for me and give the MCS a good run in. He is such a noble and altruistic guy

Anyway, can I have some advice as, in theory, I can still cancel my holiday. Might cause a bit of a fight between the girl and me which would probably end up with (the threat) of her going alone to Greece (not exactly the place where you want your girlfriend to be on a summer holiday, IYKWIM ).

OK, here's an alternative then, cancel the holiday, dump your girlfriend "temporarily". Once you've got over your initial MCS obsession, go crawling back to her.

Remember it's only a suggestion and in now way use this as evidence to persuade her to come back if you should take this route

I realy feel sorry for her, but she can't argue that I didn't put this question for a objective forum of a random group of people from different countries, before making this decision.
