New Cooper owner

Just thought I'd let the folks on the board looking at the new Coopers, they live up to the hype I brought home mine today and since I had to drive over 280 miles to pick her up I got to spend some time with her. What a fun car to drive! I also could not belive the amount of looks I got driving back home, very cool. I got rid of my Toyota Tacoma to get this car and have no regrets at all.

Ya see I was so darn excited with my new car I felt like I was in another place all together Yes I am from california though. I bought the car in sacreamento. No waiting list, just rented a car, drove up and drove home. Great experince.

Cool, others have tried from the Bay Area only to find no cars in stock when they get up here. Congrats. So what did you get?

I got my car through niello BMW, they have a webiste which shows you what Minis they have in stock, I bought mine site unseen, just asked them to hold it for me while I made the 5 hour drive. Its a Cooper BRG, CVT with the premium package also has heated seats though I don't know what I will do with those living on the Central Coast I just can't get over the amount of attention this car gets. Everyone wants to know about it wherever I go. I am all too happy to fill them in

Interesting, since they had said they wouldn't hold cars for people. Maybe sales are slowing a bit. In any case, sounds like a great car. How do you like the CVT?

I also read that they would not hold cars. I did most of the financing on the phone so I am not sure if that had somthing to do with it or not. I basically bought the car on the phone. The CVT is prety cool. It seems to pull well, its very smooth and the steptronic shifting is very cool. Its almost as cool as the auto a/c

Congrats, welcome to the club of proud MINI owners. I just clocked over 1000kms on mine last night, halfway to the break-in. Already it is starting to feel like a new car, more pep.
