Hmmm. Unlucky? He said he bought it used and it sounds like the previous owner just about drove it into the ground. Glad it's getting repaired and no one was hurt.

I don't like buying used for this very reason.

unlucky i guess in the sense that of all the mini's there are i get one that has that many problems.... shame i love it so much as i'm sure if it had been any other car i would have got rid of it..
