Long wait for mini part. Help me please

I had orderd some brackets for my mini cooper exhaust before christmas.
The part are the bracket/silencer that goes on the middle of exhaust to stop it vibrating, and i have been driving it without that for over a month now. Not pleasent
They ordered wrong parts few times, and made me to go to bmw once or twice a week., Just received a call yesterday saying they received the right par( I hope it is the right one).

My point is, because it was not my fault that they ordered wrong parts.
Should i ask them to conpensate me somehow. I am not being nasty, it was not pleasent at all, driving with that horrible vibrating noise coming from the exhaust.
I am thinking some gift vouchers, or new set of mats, or something similar.
Please comment what should I do.

There cant be any harm in asking. You'll never know unless you ask. Thats my point of view anyway. The worst they can do is say no.
Matt.

Unless the vibrations caused some form of physical damage to your Mini, the dealer is under no obligation to provide you with any freebies. Their only fault was ordering the part wrongly, which in itself is not unreasonable, and certainly does not warrant compensation of any kind.

Having said that, there is no harm in asking - you never know, you just might get lucky!

I would look for some compensation for them ordering the wrong part "few times" One time ok. It sucks but happens. More than once I would think they are stalling or just blowing you off. Hate to say that about a dealer but some do. With missing support in the middle I would think that driving for a month would be stressing the system all the way through. Might not be really obvious now but the life of the rest of the exhaust might have been affected.

BMW did not fit the new exhaust.
I believe that BMW is not under any sort of obligation to give me any freebies, but they caused me to miss work, and costed me petrol.
If it happend once or twice then i would not even argue but more than 4 times? that is ridiculous.
Even After explaining what they did wrong they still went ahead and ordered same part. If it is not the right one this time i am gonna go crazy.

I totally understand where you're coming from and I would have been mighty ****ed off as well if I was in your shotes.

Perhaps you will have better luck in obtaining some form of compensation by making a formal written complaint to Mini UK? I'm sure the dealership will more forthcoming if you threaten to inform the principal of their poor and incompetent service.

They are so good is USA regarding poor customer services.
I was watching tv the other day, and some lady complained because someone very overweight was sitting next to her in aeroplane. The airilne gave her $100 gift vouchers.
If it was in Uk they would have seen sorry and then say p"*** off.

Don't wanna turn this into a thread about the states but this is very true. Last summer I was at Hooters in downtown San Diego and the waitress gave my brother a coke instead of a diet coke by mistake and normal coke makes him feel sick and queezy. To make up they gave us all of our drinks that night for free.... I think she underestimated how fast us brits can get through the lager
all good though,,,,,,
I'm sure you will get something from Mini though, i'd go for a free exhaust tip or something as its relevent to the part thats given you the trouble
