Will these lights suit my car, or shall I stay standard!??

Ive just got my Mini back from the garage, after having some minor repairs, and have decided to treat her. I really fancy some rear lights and found these on ebay:

eBay.co.uk: Mini Cooper S JCW clear light cluster (item 170082953686 end time 28-Feb-07 21:53:34 GMT)

Need opinions on how people think they would look on my car!??

Shall I keep the standards, or will these look much better!??

Heres my car:

Opinions good or bad welcome

Cheers

Also, how much should I be offering him for these!??

He lives round the corner from me, and says I can have them but wants £120 for the full set of brake lights, reverse light and rear lights!??

How does that sound!??

you need to check whether they are pre or post facelift as pre facelift the reverse lights are where your foglamp is your reverse lights are in the main cluster they tend to go for about 70-90 on ebay

Personally I wouldn't do it, you have a stunning looking Mini, and I actually think the red lights look really nice against the blue! Love the colour combo and the kit, very classy, but the lights look a bit 'Lexus' to me. Anyway that's my thoughts, but if you like them then that's all that matters!

I think the clear rears would look ace on your car but straff is right, you need to find out whether they're pre or post facelift

Those ones on eBay are pre-facelift. The style is the same as mine (although mine are the standard coloured lights). The large spherical bit in the middle is where the indicator lights are, whereas on the facelift I believe they're at the top aren't they?

Your Cooper has facelift lights so you won't be able to use them.

They all look like pre facelift lights except some are wired for facelift cars

Although, I have just spotted this:

These have come off my mini cooper s .. bulbs included takes about 10 minutes to install. Also included in the sale is the reverse light .. makes a fantastic change to the look of the car.

Which also suggests pre-facelift?

Only Mikey does the re-wiring for the preface lift lights to fit a facelifted car, which is what we have here.

The point being, yes they would look good, but its probably not going to be a simply plug and play, as these lights if standard are not going to fit a facelifted MINI without some alterations.

Stay with the standard lights. Clear lights on the rear look tacky IMHO.
