Funny power steering feeling

It's probably normal it's just that I haven't noticed it before, but the last few weeks I've noticed my steering, when dry steering, doesn't feel smooth, it's kinda notchy every so often. That's the only way I can explain it really, does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks,

James.

Hi there,

If you have a notchiness, generally at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock, then it is probably a new upper steering column required. Try doing a search in the forums plently of people have had them replaced including me.

Free under warranty or otherwise in the mid hundreds i believe.

Hope this helps although may not be the news you were after!

I have this same problem that has just started to arise it seems to be more noticable when the car is cold from start but i may just notice it more when first pulling off. JAMSKI did you ever find out what was causing this problme for you? Thanks.
