It's just as well I didn't get an MCS after all, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get the plate

R56 Cooper isn't that bad on tax! When you take the cost to buy into account etc!

He could always get the light conversion done, however, front lights may be pricey. Not sure how much halogens are, but xenons are a lot!

Only just realised that you live in Loughborough! Will keep an eye out for you! At the moment I'm driving a burgandy (Nightfire Red??) MINI One, FG08 ***, so don't forget to wave

Then stay on the lookout for my MCS when I get it back...!

Thanks

I dismantled the dash on my (new at the time) R53 MCS and took the parts to a car body shop and they sprayed them with a perfect match to my car for £40!

Looks fabulous

Tigger.

With prices a bit depressed at the moment (and with you being so happy with your current MINI) could now be the time to take the long term view and get the newest R50 Cooper you can afford? Then, drive it for many years to come The later R50 Coopers, with the stronger Getrag gearbox, will always be the best long term ownership prospect anyway...

In the same way that extras that will cost you a lot to add to your current MINI will add little to its value, they will also add comparatively little to the price of a late R50 Cooper, so it will work to your benefit if you're a purchaser

Tigger.

PS: If you do keep the current MINI and do only one thing, replace those standard flat seats, if only for some of the mildly upgraded "Sports" ones. You won't know just how uncomfortable the standard seats are until you try the "Sports" ones.....
