Tick Tick Tick

Man,

I'm going nuts here. Another 7 weeks waiting for the new Cooper. What can I do to fill the time? I've tried visiting the local MINI dealer, but as I'm not buying from him, he's getting a bit fed up with me pushing the switches in their Cooper S.

What can I do to make the time pass more quickly? Too long, too long!

Lee

LeeH, try getting yourself a scale of a MINI Cooper and stay glued on this forum! Great therapy.

Just hang on there.

I have about another 5 weeks to wait and have found buying a scale model to be very theraputic. I am driving my girlfriend nuts!!

My dealer is bringing a Cooper out for test tomorrow.

Regards
Christopher

Yep, to help ease my wait, I bought myself a scale model and stayed well glued to MINI2 too!

My wait was just under 3 months for my Cooper, and will be over 4 months for my Cooper S (halfway there now)

Although I found an exact match model for my Cooper, I've looked high and low for a Cooper S in my colour scheme/wheel combo, but haven't found one yet.

Wink

I've got a scale model sat on the top of my monitor at work so it reminds me everyday. It's been there since Xmas even though I did'nt order my MC until August and delivery is'nt until November.

Checking this forum is also a great help and very interesting.

Think of the fun ahead!

Last year at New MINI Meet '01 at the British Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon, Russ Swift was there doing the stunts you mention, and more.

Are you coming to New MINI Meet '02 at Mallory Park this weekend? See the thread in Meetings and Events UK topic!

Re: Mini-Therapy!!

Eh up aus-tim powers buuuuurp! oh behave!

Russ Swift is truly amazing - he had MINI Coopers every which way in every direction. You'll be entertained as he does his dare-devil stunts into smaller and smaller spaces.

For his two wheel stunt, had a volunteer in the car for one run, and for another, he had three passengers and a guy shut up in the boot too. When he finally let hat guy out of the boot, he was so disoriented, he walked off in the wrong direction, and had to be guided back to his family by Russ.

I'm sorry you won't be at Mallory Park. I don't mind travelling to meets, I drove up from Surrey to Oxford last year for a meet, and to Derbyshire for a 147mile drive around the Peaks about 3 weeks ago.

Back to Russ, there was some video footage taken last year when I was there. If you PM me your email address, I can email you a smallish video file taken by jonblakeburn on the day.

I got my confirmation of order this morning. One of the leaflets that came from Mini suggested clearing out the garage in readiness for our new arrivals...of course if you haven't got a garage its abit of a problem!! I could do with clearing out part of my garage...so obviously if you've got some spare time you can give me a hand!!

Regards
Christopher

I'm not a million miles away from Cheshire, but the though of cleaning someone elses garage makes it seem further

I might get a model (Mrs H won't approve) and have ordered a mug to take to work in the hope it'll start some conversations as a bit of "therapy"

Lee.

Spoke to my dealer today. Car is due to be built this week. Looks like it might arrive early!! Dealer things should have it possibly by the end of the month!

Will obviously post lots of pics when it arrives.

Am very excited now!
