Dead Mini

Please help, tried to open my mini last night with my fob key and nothing, opened it manually ok. but that was literally all i was able to do . No lights! interior or dash board. Engine wont start, boot wont open or passenger door. Absolutely nothing. Mini completely dead! Is this the battery in key or car? Or something else?

if theres no power at all its the car battery thats dead, do a visual check and if its dead try to re-charge it or buy a new one

Thanks! Yes the battery was completely dead. AA just told me it's the power steering pump which wont shut off and has drained the battery. Having recharged my battery for me iv'e had to disconnect battery, so it wont drain again in order to get it to garage. asap. seems its stuck on! Anyone now if this can be sorted without having to buy a new one. If not whats the cost of a new one.
