Induction kit help for a newbie to this site hi all i wonder if anyone can help me i have a '55' plate cooper and i have just bought a pipercross induction kit, can anyone tell me if i need a cold air feed pipe as well? i have seen these for sale on the pipercross website in various size diameters and as i am no expert in this, i can gather that if the air filter sucks in warm air from the engine bay it will affect the performance of the car, so will the cold air feed pipe help this? any advice / help will be greatly appreciated. |

| Pow41 I'm no expert but... Basically the Idea of the cold air induction is to get the coolest air possible into the engine for better combustion. Basically if you buy a kit specifically for your car the piping should be the correct length / shape to position the unit for best airflow from the front of the car. Maybe this extra piping is for people needing to modify the original kit due to different bumpers and or mods? Just a guess. |
