United-States CV Axle replacement

I am going to be replacing my passenger CV axle on Friday and I just looking for any advice on doing this? My father in law and I will be changing it, he has worked on cars for years and I am fairly mechanically inclined however, as we begin to work on and replace parts on my MINI it's a bit of a learning experience as we've never had the opportunity to work on MINIs before. So, I am just looking for advice, suggestions or tips on how to go about doing this. I've gotten some advice from Way at Way Motor Works already but I think it would be good to hit up everybody for advice!

Thanks!

That does help! Thanks! The biggest thing I am nervous about is losing a ton of fluid from my CVT when I pull out the axle. Way from Way Motor Works in Atlanta, GA, USA said to jack up the passenger side of my MINI fairly high and do a quick change between old and new axles and I shouldn't lose much fluid. I hope it works! I trust Way though, he's a great independent MINI shop owner that is always really nice about helping MINI owners when he can.

Anyway, Thanks for the link!

Axle is replaced with no leaking fluid at all! Busted my sway bar end link installing the cv axle though. Ordered that so it'll be here tomorrow and installed. Can't wait to get back on the road! MOTOR ON!
