Italy Mini Cooper 2003 cold start issue

Hi every1.
The temperatures have been very low and snow this week its been -6c to 0c. Car has been parked outside for 5 days under the cold and snowy weather.I tried starting it and no luck. All i could hear is the sound tak.tak..tak i am guessing the battery is almost dead. Tried the wipers and the radio they work but the car don't start. The starter motor does not even bother. Any suggestion much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi
sound like your battery is on it way out if it is the original one it will most probarbly need changing
you can try charging it if you Want. or even jump starting it, if it jump starts it a good possibility it the battery. when you get it running put a volt Meter across the battery and make shore you have at least 12.5 volts dc this will give you a good indication if you alternator is working

hope thus helps

Thanks for the info. I also think so cos i have been nottecing the lights dimming when engaging reverse or forward and i reckon its still the original in it.
