 Mini Cooper 2004 Fuel? & Jerking Hi I just bought an automatic mini cooper 2004 and was wondering which is the best fuel for it? Its a bit jerky at low revs and I'm currently using 95 fuel. Any ideas what the jerking could be? Thanks   |

| Hi there - I run 98 octane but in a Cooper S - I think 95 would be better for a Cooper as unlike Europe we get 91 octane which is no good for any Eurpoean car.. The jerkyness may be coming from the CVT - don't want to alarm you but there are many, many posts about fauly early CVT transmissions - perhaps do a search aof the forum here and whatever you do don't take it to BMW unless you want a biiiig bill. |
