Mini Cooper 2002 Clutch on way out?

Hi,

I have a Mini Cooper R50 (2002) and I think my clutch maybe on its last legs! Car has slipped out of first gear a few times now and it also getting a little tricky to slot into reverse. Does this sound like possible clutch failure? And if so does anyone have any ideas on approximate cost of having a clutch replaced?

If the car is jumping out of gear it is normally due to wear in the baulk ring / syncromesh hub assemblies in the gearbox, not the clutch.

What would the cost be to do all that work on a 2004 Cooper??
I think i'll probably need a new gearbox & clutch sooner rather than later.

Sorry guys when i read the car was jumping out of 1st gear i was thinking the gearbox would need changing.

I should have the clutch price in an hour or so.
