2003 Cooper using water

Hello,

Over the last month my 2003 Cooper has been going through water slowly. Over the month it has used about a litre.

What could be the issue? I am keeping an eye on it and topping up with ready mix antifreeze when it is low. Performance hasn't changed and the engine isn't over heating.

On a side note it seems to be using more oil than it used to but no too much and put that down to it being 9 years old, however could this be a separate issue?

Any help is very much appreciated before I have to take it to a garage.

Common Mini faults are leaking themostat housing/gasket (housing is below the engine coolant pressure cap) or slight leaks to the bottom corners of the radiator.
