Hi

The supercharges can be repaired if you have the right tools. The SC will have to be removed to do any repair work. Which bearings have gone

This a snot rebuild kit

Eaton M45 Supercharger Snout Rebuild Repair Bearing Kit | eBay

Depending on the mileage and condition it my be worth swapping it for a good secondhand one of eBay

BMW Mini Eaton Supercharger | eBay

Hope this helps

Nice one for the reply , the cars done 87000 so think its worth replacing but I only bought it 6 weeks ago so hopefully the garage I bought it from will replace it ,they've already taken it to go and get a second opinion 'cause I was quoted £1300 for a new replacement . Only found out it was the supercharger bearing this morning 'cause me and my mechanic thought it was just a drive belt pulley due to a squealing noise from the engine
I haven't got a clue what bearing it is , but I would've expected a loss in power with a supercharger fault ? Still pulls fine.

Hi ya

If they are going to fit a second hand one make sure they change and check the oil in both ends of the super charger before fitting it. And make sure its the correct oil.

If the bearing has gone and theres play present now in the shaft, continued use will probably grind the scrolls away and ruin the whole thing.

Cheers for the advice mate , now I've been told hat it's just the drive belt but I think I'm gonna buy a used supercharger just incase it isn't the drive belt
