Plastic tubing in Engine compartment

I got my 2002 Mini with the engine removed because of a broken rod. I'm installing another engine. The problem I have is I have a piece of black plastic tubing, about 3 feet long, with a 90 degree bend in it, that I can't find where it goes. Does anyone have a drawing where the plastic lines are routed in the engine compartment?

Looks like a servo vacuum hose to me will go from break servo under drivers side of scuttle panel appearing out by the battery box then running past the thermostat housing and into the inlet manifold have a look see if this helps

Mike - what type of engine is in your Mini? Is your vehicle a Cooper, or a Cooper S? (not sure but it might make a difference).

I have an 02 Cooper S in my driveway right now - I can go have a look under the bonnet....

Also can you describe what the "black bit" is midway along the pipe as I can't make it out all that well from your photo (or maybe post a closeup of it).

Is it a retaining clip of sorts or does the "bit" look like it has to plug into something?
