Question Lock Barrel Repair?

Hi
I have a 2003 cooper - just bought it and at some point someone has obviously tried to brake into the car and has dislodged the visible silver part of the lock.

The lock still works fine with the key and with the fob and so I do not really want to replace the whole lock.

Can you buy the silver/chrome part to replace or do I have to change the whole barrel ?

Just cosmetics but really annoying!

Thanks

Hey! I've got the part you need- it's from my door lock that broke at the other end, where it turns in the actuator.

Give me a day or two- I'll post a picture of what I have. Be aware, putting this silver cap thing on isn't easy. You'll have to pull your door panel off, then pull your handle and door actuator off.

I'll send it to you for free. I'm pretty sure I still have it.

This is what my old lock looked like when I pulled it out:

Here's the part you need, pulled off of the front of the lock. There are three parts- the circle thing, the spring and the door. I have all three still around here somewhere- PM me with your address and they are on their way. The front part of the lock, which I am sending you, is not available separately.

Here's where my lock broke:

Here's my old one and my new one together:
