Ordering Cooper info?

Hi,

I am going to be ordering my Cooper in the next few days,

Heres the spec:

Liquid Yellow / Black Roof/Mirrors,
Black Cloth/leather sport seats,
Chilli Package,
17" S-Spoke Alloys with Run-flat tyres,
ASC+T,
Electric Panoramic Sunroofs,
(a nice big smile)

The reason I am enquiring on here is I have since found out that something as significant as the extra wiring for a CD Changer Prep can be specified to make my life easier fitting one later on, and not cost me a penny!

Is there anything else I can specify such as the cd changer prep that is almost ESSENTIAL, and not cost me anything if not a little £££ (why I went for ASC+T)

Any help would be grately appreciated!

I have a Liquid Yellow/Black Cooper with the Chilli Package, 17" S-spoke Alloys, Panoramic Sunroofs, ASC+T, the factory Tinted windows, 6-disk changer and the Multi Function Steering Wheel !!! ALSO HAVE FITTED A JCW EXHAUST !!!

best thing to do is to go through the brochure of options. One option you can take which is also free of charge with the chilli pack is sports suspension plus but with the 17 inch alloys it is advised not to bother as this would make the ride much harsher

use the mini made to measure web-site and you can build the mini of your dreams. It'll show you the price or not of each and every option you choose.

You can find the site from http://www.mini.co.uk

Just a suggestion. Have you thought about the factory fit alarm? It's not exactly cheap at £200, but I went for it out of peace of mind.

Another thing I went for which was free, was the debadging option. That's entirely down to personal preference though.

Yeah...I have played around with the made to measure many times 2 find the one I want, and I have also seen the debadging, but it would be nice to have COOPER I think, maybe if it was a One I would remove (no offence)

Does the £200 alarm make much diffence? wat does it change?

I ordered my new Cooper "de-badged". My main reason was that I didnt want it attracting too much attention (ironic, being a new Mini!!).

I wanted to go for the all black sleek look. But after browsing on this site for a while, I rang up my dealer today and told him to throw the Cooper badge on.... After all, it's a Mini Cooper!! Need I say more??? (iam sure I will )

Hope this helps,
Neill

I prefer the look of a debadged car. I don't need to advertise the fact I'm driving a Cooper, it looks neater without it.

Plus there's always the possibility of someone deciding they want it, and damaging my paintwork getting it off.

The Cooper doesn't come with an alarm as standard, it comes with a transponder immobiliser. If you specify the £200 alarm in the spec, then they fit a Thatcham cat. 1 alarm. As far as I can work out, it's the same system they fit to the more expensive bimmers.

how about the multi-function steering wheel? If you're getting the chilli pack it's only an extra £100 & you get steering wheel stereo controls & cruise control. Also it's the only way cruise can be specified
