I was wondering, what are your views on the Mini Cooper in Liquid Yellow, I read somewhere that the yellow mini sells for £1000 less and a few people dont like it!

Colour choice is a personal thing and with the MINI2 we have some nice colour's , some more soon we are led to believe ?.
Personally I went for BRG / WHITE , which I love .
My previous Run around was a White PUG 106 which my son now run's , and it's a Bu**er to keep clean , as have other ' Light ' coloured car's I have owned .
I also run a Vauxhall Chevette HSR , Star Fire Silver Metallic , Lacquer coated . This colour seem's to cope well with traffic grime , easily cleaned , but suffer's badly from visiable STONE CHIP'S which cut through the Laquer and make the Metallic Silver paint ' Shine Through '!.
I recently had a MINI ONE as a loan car , Brigh't Yellow . Twin Black Stripes from Bonnett to Boot , looked like a ' WASP '. Not my idea of a nice colour combo ! .
If I was going to pick yellow , I would go for a White combo.
But like I said it's personal choice.
I'm sure you your COOPER will look ' Brill '.
PS. I have some 'A' series cooper 's' part's if you are interested .
I have a LY/white, white 5-spokes too. I love the color. It looks clean all the time, even when it's dirty, and the car stays relatively cool when it's in the sun. I had a black car once and it was always hot, one reason I didn't get a dark color.
Don't worry about resale value car's aren't that great an investment.

I have a Yellow/Wht Cooper and I love it. It fits my personality so well. I never, ever feel serious in my car just like I'm having fun!
No matter what others think, you should always get the color combo that feels right for you. That's the great part of all the differenct combos available, there's one out there for everyone!
I generally like the Liquid Yellow color in the MINI but wished it wasn't so pale. I would have been more interested in it if MINI had decided to emulate the yellow color tone found in the Ferrari 360 Modena....that's one heck of a beautiful yellow color.
I think Liquid Yellow looks best with a contrasting Black Roof.

On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03)
There is a UK ad campaign running at the moment for Schwartz herbs and spices. They have a solid LY ONE on the instore displays. Only thing is they've altered the colour so that its almost a fluorescent yellow. Looks...odd... kind of.
I actually prefer the LY colour to for e.g. the Seat or MG yellow colours which are a more chromatic yellow and more blatent.
IB ONE, Seven Hole Alloys, Air Con, CD, Chrome bits - Now with Chrome mirrors and chrome side vents + Custom engraved Whalen Shift Knob and four, yes four driving lights!
Yeah I am very happy with my Yellow/Black combo, I just wanted to find out what other people thought of it! I am glad some people agree, I drove to Gatwick Airport in London today from Birmingham and I passed about 20minis, about 7of which were yellow, ones and coopers, havnt seen a yellow cooper s on the road for a while, only ever seen one by my girlfriends in Worcester!
I cant wait for mine to arrive now, my brother has a yellow Beetle too so they shud look good together on the drive?

And oh yeh I have seen the spices advert in the local supermarket, caught my eye!
I asked my brother about his yellow beetle and today he showed me that altho it was very dirty from about 1metre+ distance it looked spotless, the yellow seems to hide the dirt very well BUT...... does have a very bad problem with flies!!! I dont know if anyone with the mini has experienced it but they immediately get attracted to it, they must think its a bright flower or something. and the bugs from the motorway line up and dive bomb it only to cover the front bumper in red sploges!!
Also any pictures of yellow Minis in any style and spec would be appreciated!!! This is a yellow forum now!!!

I have a yellow and white Coop with the bonnet stripes. I think it's great although did get asked a lot at the start "Why Yellow?"
I agree with the yellow hiding the dirt, just seems to get darker, and I worked at filthy place. Also have to agree with the bugs, and living next to a river is a real pain when trying to wash it! Also the red streaks from motorway driving and bugs are a nice touch...
Sorry no digi cam, or pics of any type. Would be interested in seeing the clear rear lights on a yellow MINI though.
I have a picture of a yellow/black cooper with clear rear lights, I will post it when I get home as I dont have it on this PC at the mo!

I agree with MC on the clear lights they look crap on yellow. Hope i dont offend the owner to much. Liquid Yellow is nice, if ur going for a black roof dont get bonnet strpies as i think they give it the bumble bee look. I think bonnet stripes look best on red, blue and BRG in white though
